So what is nonfiction writing? Basically nonfiction refers to literature that is based on categories such as history, self-help books, science, art, languages, travel, crafts, cooking, biographies, health, pets, true crime, home improvement, decorating, fitness, and things of this nature.

Many people associate nonfiction writing as being dull and dry for the most part; however, this does not need to be the case. Nonfiction books, although based on facts and true things, can be extremely interesting if written correctly. It is up to the author to write a book that will capture the reader’s interest no matter the topic. There are techniques and methods to writing a nonfiction book. It is a learned art.
