Born and raised on the U.S.-Mexico Border, Richard Yañez is a Chicano writer and community arts organizer living in El Paso, Texas. He is the author of “El Paso del Norte: Stories on the Border” and “Cross Over Water: a Novel,” both published by the University of Nevada Press. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at El Paso Community College.
