David Pérez is a writer, editor, journalist and actor born and bred in the South Bronx of parents of Puerto Rican descent. He has written hundreds of published articles for newspapers and magazines and, as an actor, has performed on stage and film. His current book, Wow! (11B Press) is a funny “memoirito” about boyhood, Catholic school, and growing up in the housing projects. The book’s cover and interior illustrations are by his brother George Pérez, the internationally-acclaimed comic book artist.
David lives in Taos, NM with his wife, poet Veronica Golos, and has two adult children, Belinda and Jase.
