Meg Medina

Meg Medina is a Cuban American author writing books for kids of all ages. She is the author of Milagros: Girl from Away (Christy Ottaviano Books: Henry Holt BYR, 2008); the picture book Tia Isa Wants a Car (Candlewick Press, 2011), which earned the 2012 Ezra Jack Keats New Writers Award; and The Girl Who Could Silence the Wind (Candlewick Press 2012), which was named 2012 Best Books by CBI in the UK. Her forthcoming Young Adult novel is Yaqui Delgado Wants to Kick Your Ass (March 2013, Candlewick Press).
