Reyna Grande is the author of the critically acclaimed novel Across a Hundred Mountains for which she received an American Book Award (2007) and El Premio Aztlan Literary Award (2006). Her second novel, Dancing with Butterflies, received first place in the 2010 International Latino Book Awards for Best Women’s Issues. Her current book is a memoir titled The Distance Between Us. She has a B.A. and M.F.A. in Creative Writing. She is a sought-after speaker at middle/high schools, colleges and universities across the nation. Reyna is the Program Coordinator of the Latino Book & Family Festival-Los Angeles.
