J. Lee Gonzales was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She credits her spontaneous childhood upbringing for her imagination. For a number of years she kept her stories all to herself, too shy to let the world enter her imagination. It wasn’t until the passing of her father when she finally decided to share her work with the rest of the world.
Her debut novel, WHAT HURTS THE MOST, was published in August 2013. Gonzales stated, publishing her first novel was a huge self accomplishment. New to the writing world, she has been overwhelmed with the urge to continue doing what she loves to do. She is currently in the process of writing her second novel.
