Caroline was born in Cinncinati and her parents moved nine times  before the age of nine. She graduated magna cum laude from Scripps College in English and Art Dual Major and has a MFA from Claremont Graduate University. She performed as a performing artist/ performance poet now referred to as a slam poet for twenty years. Her short fiction has been included in magazines. Caroline wrote her first long form novel Toxic Assets and is releasing a new one this fall. The next novel is titled The Lucky Boy.
