A teacher in LAUSD for 30 years, Montserrat Fontes is the author of First Confession and Dreams of the Centaur. The third part of her Durcal Trilogy is now in New York. A Texas export, Fontes attended local colleges for her higher education. Her MA in Comparative Literature is from CSULA. Says Fontes, “This place taught me the value of literature in our lives. I have dedicated myself to that study.”
