Amy Costales

Amy Costales is an award-winning bilingual children’s author.  Lupe Vargas and Her Super Best Friend/Lupe Vargas y su super mejor amiga (2006) is a Junior Library Guild Premier Selection.  Abuelita Full of Life/Abuelita llena de vida was awarded Book of Américas Commendable Title (2008). Hello Night/Hola  noche was awarded Best Bilingual Picture Book by International Latino Book Awards (2008). Sundays on Fourth  Street/Los domingos en la calle Cuatro (2008) and Grandpa Used to Live Alone/Abuelo vivía solo (2009) are her two latest  titles. Amy grew up in Ohio, Spain and along the Mexican-Californian border.
