Sam Quiñones is a journalist and author of two books of creative nonfiction about Mexico, the product of 10 years spent living and reporting in that country. True Tales from Another Mexico was published in 2001. His book of nonfiction stories about Mexican immigrants, Antonio’s Gun and Delfino’s Dream, was released in 2007. The San Francisco Chronicle Book Review called him “the most original writer on Mexico and the border out there.” He now works for the Los Angeles Times and writes about immigration, street gangs, and drug trafficking.
