Stella Pope DuarteStella Pope Duarte is a critically acclaimed author, human rights advocate and college professor. Her works include: Fragile Night, Let Their Spirits Dance, If I Die in Juárez and Women Who Live in Coffee Shops and Other Stories, which won first place in the 2008 Chicano/Latino Literary Prize Competition. If I Die in Juárez won a 2009 American Book Award, two Gold Medals in the category of “Multicultural Fiction,” by the Foreword  Book of the Year Award, the Independent Publisher’s Book of the Year Award, a 2008 Arizona Book of the Year Award for “Best in Popular Fiction, and was named a “Top Pick” in the 2008 Southwest Books of the Year Award.
