Lucio Padilla came to the United States at age 9 with his family to work in the fields of southern California. At a very early age, he experienced the difficult life style and the abuses suffered by farm workers. He dropped out of school at age 15 to become a Lechuguero (lettuce harvester). Today, Lucio Padilla is a high school teacher and parent facilitator. He travels all over California giving seminars for parents and teachers with strategies to deal with the patterns of negative behaviors in their children. He’s the author of Memoirs of a Lechuguero.
