Mr. Lopez, of Puerto Rican descent, was born and bred in Brooklyn, New York, and now resides in Queens, New York. He has written articles for Railway Age magazine, Homeland Defense Journal, Reptile & Amphibian magazine, and the New York Daily News magazine. He has written scripts for Archie and Personality Comics; and has sold short stories to Neo-Opsis magazine, Lost Souls e-zine, and various Sci-Fi and/or horror newsletters and fanzines. He is a regular contributor to the Brooklyn Aquarium Society newsletter and the online magazine; Salsa Magazine.
He was also editor of Offworld, a small science fiction magazine that was once chosen as a “Best Bet” by Sci-Fi television. He published his first novel, Chickenhawk, under his pseudonym of Arnold Wolf. He and his son are collaborating on a series of Fantasy novels titled, “The Father & Son Chronicles.” Mr. Lopez is the recipient of the Emmett Cribbs award for short fiction, and the Distinguished Service Award from the MTA NYC Transit for creating their civilian counter-terrorism training program. Mr. Lopez is also the Chairman of the Latino Authors & Writers Society, and the organizer of the annual Latino Authors & Writers Conference in New York City.
